Please read the information below to see what\u2019s going on within the park and help you get the best out of your cottaging this year.<br><br>We are currently planning for Family Fun Day and Moose Music for the weekend of July 30<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 August 1<sup>st<\/sup>. We understand that some people still might have issues with gathering and we would like to give you an opportunity to let us know how you feel and what level of participation you will be comfortable with. We will be sending out a survey in the next week for your feedback.<br><br>We will also be sending out a survey to get some feedback regarding park services and facilities. This was discussed during last fall\u2019s Annual General Meeting. This will be sent out soon as well.<br>&nbsp;<br>Some preliminary grading of the park roads has been completed, but the full grading has been delayed by spring flood issues and the requirement for resources elsewhere.&nbsp;Speed bumps&nbsp;will be replaced on the east and west cottage roads at the same locations as last year.&nbsp;&nbsp;Dust suppression&nbsp;will be scheduled following full grading operations.<br><br>The&nbsp;water plant&nbsp;is up and running. We encourage Cottagers to source water from within the park as often as possible!<br>&nbsp;<br>Please note that the Transfer Station does not accept mattresses. Park management will be working to provide a list of what may and may not be disposed of in the transfer station.<br>&nbsp;<br>With a wet spring, water levels can be variable.&nbsp;The&nbsp;control dam&nbsp;will be adjusted to maintain optimum lake levels as directed by Water Stewardship. Manitoba Infrastructure is also closely monitoring the condition of the dam, and it is still in the queue for repair\/updating.<br><br>Parks is planning to pour new cement at the boat dock this fall.<br><br>A STARS landing site is being planned for Moose Lake Provincial Park. Locations are being considered, but the most likely site would be the group use area at the east end of the campground which has sufficient area to safely land a helicopter.<br><br>Fire safety &#8211; please ensure you are noting the fire conditions in our area.&nbsp; Fire bans will be posted at the park access point (park campground office) or further information can be found here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mlcoa.us10.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=f3cf0e4bb801772bd2ca59fde&amp;id=f9dedc777c&amp;e=84035ce8f7\">Manitoba Fire Restrictions<\/a>&nbsp;. Note that the use of non-essential herbicides is restricted in Manitoba. Please see the following link for information and appropriate use:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mlcoa.us10.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=f3cf0e4bb801772bd2ca59fde&amp;id=8af0aa1d16&amp;e=84035ce8f7\">MB Pesticides<\/a><br>&nbsp;<br>The MLCOA has provided two fire extinguishers for public\/cottager use in case of emergencies. They are located on posts at Block 4, Lot 4 (East side) and Block 14, Lot 15 (West side). If you need to use them, please notify the MLCOA by email (<a href=\"mailto:mooselakecoa@gmail.com\">mooselakecoa@gmail.com<\/a>) so that they can be re-charged.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>MLCOA association fees<\/strong>&nbsp;are set at $40 as per our 2018 AGM.&nbsp; We would like to encourage contactless payment of our annual fees.&nbsp; Fees can be paid via this link&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/mlcoa.us10.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=f3cf0e4bb801772bd2ca59fde&amp;id=6cfc42477b&amp;e=84035ce8f7\" target=\"_blank\">MLCOA Fees<\/a>&nbsp;on our website.&nbsp; We use a \u2018PayPal\u2019 portal as a secure payment method.&nbsp; YOU DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT.&nbsp; Once you click the link&nbsp;<em>\u201cI would like to pay my MLCOA fees\u201d<\/em>, enter your lot and block number and follow the links as a guest to pay with a credit card.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>We have several new cottage owners this year. Please encourage them to contact us to become members of the MLCOA.
