Please read the information below to see what\u2019s going on within the park and help you get the best out of your cottaging this year.<br>&nbsp;<br>For updated information on COVID 19 restrictions in provincial parks please go to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.mb.ca\/sd\/parks\/covid.html\">COVID 19: Information for Park Visitors<\/a><br>&nbsp;<br>Due to the ongoing pandemic, we will unfortunately <strong>not<\/strong> be able to host a<strong> Family Fun Day<\/strong>.&nbsp; We <strong>may be<\/strong> able to host <strong>Moose Music<\/strong> with appropriate COVID safety measures in on Sunday August 1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp; \u2013 confirmation and information to follow based on Covid related conditions and restrictions at that time.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Grading<\/strong> of the park roads is currently underway, once complete, <strong>speed bumps<\/strong> will be replaced on the east and west cottage roads at the same locations as last year.&nbsp; <strong>Dust suppression<\/strong> is scheduled to be applied by the end of May (weather permitting \u2013 we need a little rain!)<br>&nbsp;<br>The <strong>water plant<\/strong> is up and running with testing to be complete this week (May 10-14).&nbsp; We encourage Cottagers to source water from within the park as often as possible!<br>&nbsp;<br>Please note that the Transfer Station will no longer be accepting mattresses.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Fire safety<\/strong>&#8211; please ensure you are noting the fire conditions in our area.&nbsp; Fire bans will be posted at the Park access point (park campground office) or further information can be found here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.mb.ca\/sd\/fire\/Restrictions\/index.html\">Manitoba Fire Restrictions<\/a>&nbsp;. For information on the Woodlands\/Sandilands fire from the RM of Piney click here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/rmofpiney.mb.ca\/category\/news-notices\/emergency\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Piney Fire Updates<\/a><br>&nbsp;<br>With a dry spring, water levels are low.&nbsp; The <strong>control dam<\/strong> will be adjusted to maintain optimum lake levels as directed by water stewardship.<br>&nbsp;<br>Pesticide use is governed by directives from the Province of Manitoba. Note that the use of non-essential herbicides is restricted in Manitoba.<br>&nbsp;<br>Please see the following link for information and appropriate use: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.mb.ca\/sd\/environment_and_biodiversity\/pesticides\/index.html\">MB Pesticides<\/a><br>&nbsp;<br>The MLCOA has provided two fire extinguishers for public\/cottager use in case of emergencies. They are located on posts at Block 4, Lot 4 (East side) and Block 14, Lot 15 (West side). If you need to use them, please notify the MLCOA by email (<a href=\"mailto:mooselakecoa@gmail.com\">mooselakecoa@gmail.com<\/a>) so that they can be re-charged. These fire extinguishers were replaced this spring and the MLCOA would like to thank Prairie Battery for providing annual servicing free of charge to our association.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Association fees<\/strong> are set at $40 as per our 2018 AGM.&nbsp; We would like to encourage contactless payment of our annual fees in light of the continuing concerns with COVID.&nbsp; Fees can be paid via this link <a href=\"http:\/\/mlcoa.ca\/?page_id=293\">MLCOA Fees<\/a> to our website.&nbsp; We use a \u2018PayPal\u2019 portal as a secure payment method.&nbsp; YOU DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT.&nbsp; Once you click the link <em>\u201cI would like to pay my MLCOA fees\u201d<\/em>, enter your lot and block number and follow the links as a guest to pay with a credit card.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>We have several new cottage owners this year.
